Do You Watch?

Next week I am going to be interviewed with another Sister. The topic is Theatrical Sermons. Also included will be other people from other faiths.

The reason that there will be two Muslims, is because one of us watches the Imam during the Khutbah, (via one way mirror) and the other does not. The reporter wanted both views.

Do you watch?
What are your viewpoints on the issue?

I posted this in the Naseeha section, because I would like to hear the Brother's point of view as well.

Yes, I watch, though its usually a little difficult, because most of the time I sit in the 1st row, and have to stare straight up.   :P

At the masjids I have gone to, how are the sisters going to even see?  The masjid is completely packed with people.   There are usually some classrooms or offices in the building that are able to accomodate them so its broadcast there on TV.  The masjids are overpacked here, I imagine in the next few years or so, there won't be enough space and just have to turn the sisters away for the jumah khutbah.

That's the only thing that keeps my week going, dude!  Don't deprive me.

Wasalaam.

w00t? ???

That's a great idea Just One.  Why doesn't everyone that attends jumah post up what their friday prayer was about.  We can start from next week, and insha'Allah it may benefit others.  I can start a thread in the Taqwa folder.

In the masjid I attend, we watch the Imam on a TV monitor.  It's great because I'm the type of person who needs to see the person who is speaking or a lose concentration.

And I agree with JustOne,  I need Jumah. I would be highly upset if there ever came a day where sisters weren't allowed to attend.
