| [i]Hope this will calm few of you down[/i] [slm] :) ========= Pakistan: On marriage ceremonies the trend of using 'bug'gees' (Designed Horse carts) is on the rise, grooms family with other guests travel to bride's place via cars and park them a kilometer away where an already booked, fully furnished 'buggi' with traditional colors waits for them. Then the groom and his immediate family (sometimes friends too) get seated in the buggi and off they go to the bride's house. This trend has changed two things significantly!! 1] More people from villages are moving into cities with their horses and have started investing in 'buggi' designs. 2] As people mostly prefer to ride a buggi that is pulled by WHITE horses so businessmen mentioned above have started to BLEACH their horses WHITE :D . No kidding, you can see them parked from where these guys operate their business. But what i've concluded from this is that, horses dont have any sense of humor, i mean they should be 'rolling on the floor laughing' when they see their friends BLEACHED WHITE :P on second thought they might be sobing after being treated like that! I wonder that whats the stance of animal rights organizations on this issue! |

| [slm] Is the bleach harmful? If it is not harmful, then what's the problem? On another note, my mom's dad (my nana ji), when he was getting married, he rode up to his bride's house on a white horse and then rode beside his wife's "doli" until they reached his house. My grandma peeked out from her doli to look at him and she said it was the most beautiful sight to see him mounted on a white horse, and she was of course seeing him for the first time ever. Women have this thing for white horses nomi, I suggest you impress your future wife with one too. ;) |
