| as'salaamualaikum ;D inshAllah the husband and i will be in the jersey/new york area this weekend for a wedding. :) i wanted to know if there were any restaurants you guys would recommend? and we're not looking for a particular 'type' of food/restaurants - just something good that won't cost an arm and a leg. ;D we're open to all sorts of food. 8) any suggestions would be excellent and totally appreciated. :-X |

| [slm] There are sooo many halaal places in NY/NJ...hmmnnn...will have to consult with my ppl there. But in the meantime (ie, I'll most likely forget :) ), check www.zabihah.com/. It's not a complete listing, but you can check for restaurants by city for reviews. |

| AA Amin's in Jersey City is one of my favorites. Chinese Halal. If you like Pakistani food, Shahnawz in Edison is good, not too expensive. Shezan in Iselin is outstanding in terms of food/serverice, but a little pricey (not an arm and a leg, but not a finger and a toe either). If you're looking for Arab food, try Saluhuddin's in Paterson. Excellent food, excellent value. Hope this helps. |
