For the med residents out there?

Assalam Alaykum Have been frequenting this board the past couple of weeks and really like the forums here.  Haven't registered yet but will do so soon inshallah. I have a question for those who are doing their medical residency or have completed residency in the United States recently.  As a muslim how do you handle medical issues of the opposite gender?  I am currently in medical school rotations and have come across some hard times when having to examine a partner of opposite gender and so would like to know how it is in residency.  I am interested to hear from you experienced people.  Thank you.   Massalaama
