[slm] http://www.cair.com/asp/article.asp?id=32752&page=NB Check out this article. I am amazed. I posted this very email on this site because someone had sent it to me. I was so offended and angered by it. It is one of the most offensive emails, it has EVER been my displeasure, to view. The person who sent it to me did not feel that it was as offensive as I seemed to make it out to be. He made me look like I was over reacting. Allah is so great, since he has brought this article to the public and many people have thought exactly what I thought. Just wanted to share this news. Allah IS watching! [] [] [] [] |

[slm] Hmmm so we wear rags for clothes??? I'd assume a rag would cover a lesser surface area by which definition the abaya, jilbab and hijaab are disqualified, now western clothes on the other hand...... Dunno about employment law in the US, but on this side of the pond, we don't request sick leave we go ahead and take it. They can't sack or discipline you for it unless your employer can prove that the employee can no longer fulfill the role he/she was assigned. Interesting article, I don't let things like that upset me anymore, I'd take my business elsewhere and make sure all my friends and relatives do to. I read a while back (probably here) that Amex were making life difficult for American muslims by closing muslim customers accounts. Seems discrimination and abuse are fine if it's directed at us.... then they wander why we dislike them so much.... Wassalaam |

Checking Your profile, Fozia, I see ur from the UK. And I agree with you, I mean as much as people complain about the UK, I think their not as harsh as America. I've heard so many stories about people being arrested for showing their opposition to the Iraqi war in public, and about the police down there taking note of those that attend the mosques on a regular basis. If that happened down here there would be law suits upon law suits. |
