A good friend of mine by the name of Bryan has agreed to talk to me about why he became muslim and do an interview for LightUponLight.Com

We want this to be really good and thus as my good brothers and sisters at Jannah.org  come to you in the hope that you would fe sabilillah become part of our team and help us fe sabillilah.

Please tell me what questions you think I should ask him that would be most motivating for MUSLIMS to hear, because this site is directed towards muslims.

I would ask "What is it about the Qur'an that made you convert"  stuff like that

I would pre- interview him.  Many times reverts come to Islam through dating a Muslim. If this is the case than spare him any uneeded embarrassment to him. Which, he may not be in tune to now...but will in the future.

Unfortunately many Muslims "talk" and he does not need them to be looking at him in a negative manner... or the Muslim he was dating!

Ahead of time ask him what made him revert. Otherwise you can have some dead air. In the past, I had this experiance.  The interviewer asked me how I felt when I heard the Quran. It was an OMG moment. Because at that time the recitation I had heard always gave me a headache. (It wasn't until years later I found out there were different ways and reciters)

But what was I going to say? I did not want to admit it and sure enough there was an uncomfortable empty airtime!

So find out how he came to Islam and really focus in on that. Sometimes when you listen to revert interviews, which are usually a half hour long, few interviewers get to the good stuff, because they spend so much time on frivolous stuff.

So be prepared, it is even better if you give him the questions ahead of time.
