In dire need of du'a

Assalam Aleikum everyone, I've rarely ever started threads. But me and my sisters have always been  avid readers of this board. Whenever I would read something joyous like a marriage or the news of a newborn, I would thank Allah (swt) for bringing good for that person and whenever I read something sorrowful, I would make du'a within my heart that that person's situation improve. My dear bros. and sisters. Today it's my turn to ask something of you. In the last few days, my dad suffered a stroke which has left him hospitalized in a critical condition. To make matters worse, I am thousands of miles away from home and the only people who are currently with him is my mom and three sisters. Insha'llah I'm making arrangements to be there asap but in the meanwhile it is my humble request to you all that you pray that my dad's health improves and that He (swt) gives patience and strength to all my family. This board has some of the most wonderful people that i've come across (in real life or online) and I'm sure the collective power of du'a will help my family. May Allah (swt) reward everyone amply for their prayers. Wassalam. --Zahid.

[slm]  Bro Zahid May Allah grant him recovery and ease his pain.  May you arrive home safe, INSHA-ALLAH. This world is full of remedies. But you have no remedy until God opens a window for you. [slm] May Allah [swt] ease your father's pain and May He [swt] give your family sabr to handle this situation. Ameen. Make lots of duaa brother...  following duaas are good to read when someone is sick... Allahuma ij'alana min kulli hammin faraja, wa min kulli diqin makhraja, wa min kulli bala'in afiayh. O Allah! Relieve us from all distress, alleviate all our worries, and cure all our illness. Ameen. Allâhumma rabban-nâsi adhhibil-ba’sa washfi antash-shâfi lâ shifâ-a illâ shifâ’uka, shifâ-an lâ yughadiru saqamn. O Allah, Lord of the people, remove all harm, give cure, for you are the one who cures. There is no curing except Your curing - a curing that leaves no illness (Bukhari) ma salaama "O you who believe, seek help with steadfastness and prayer. For God is with those who are steadfast." 2:153

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullah bro zahid, I will definitely make duaa for your father, insha'Allah.  may Allah grant him shifaa, and you and your family sabr and strength during this time. please keep us updated about his condition, and let us know if there's anything else we can do..

I'll be praying for your father as well and for you for a safe trip to be with him. Please let us know when you return how he is.
