[] (cool how appropriate that we have this instead of the bebzi!!!)

Any way after a busy few days finally i am here with my Ramadan Diary for the first day of fasting.

For me personally the feeling of Ramadan began when i started phoning the mosque (line is busy try again  ::)) to find out whether the moon has been sighted (line is still busy). This yr i really wanted Ramadan to start on Monday....( :(still busy). All the arab satalite channels were coming free so i even started watching them frm saturday afternoon to see if anyone would make an announcement...no luck. Phew got through just after six in the evening..(Assalamu Alaikum, Pls call back after 6.30pm to in order to find out when Ramadan begins  >:() by this stage i was getting really fed up when finally i got to speak to a human being (well i think it was  ;)) Alhamdulillah my dua's had been answered (Ramadan begins on Monday sister)... then txt everyone i know to let them know......

On Sunday night went to the local masjid for Tarawih Prayers Alhamdulillah when i walked in it made my heart sooo happy to see so many sisters there. All last year there were abt 15 sisters who would attend daily, but Alhamdulillah along with my friends from last ramadan there were about 40 other sisters. May Allah make the prayerhall that full every night inshaAllah.

The hardest part for me is getting up for suhoor... the house is sooo cold. After eating the feeling of peace is over the whole house and alhamdulillah I can hear the sounds of my family while they are reading Qur'an in their own rooms  :).  And when the Adhan goes for Fajr i know that Ramadan has now finally well and truly begun.....

At work all day i kept on getting Ramadan Kareem egreetings from all my friends and even from some of my work collegues ( non muslim ones  :o)

There were two really funny parts of the day for me firstly when i told my receptionists that i was going to pray so pls hold my calls for abt half an hour...."Oh r u going to be on your mat ! " made me think of the flying carpet in Aladdin  :D) yep gonna fly out of my window for a spin round the block........Because the times have changed i now have to pray Dhur, Asr and Magrib at work where as b4 i just had to do Dhur.... so i explained that to them.

The other thing was my boss who saw someone eating something in front of me and started having a go at them... "don't u know she is fasting... have some respect!"  :D :D :D and then when i was in a meeting with a client.... explaining to them why i didn't have a coffee  ::)  finally got it through to him just bcause i am fasting doesn't mean that no one can eat in front of me or have food in my presence......

There was only one bad part to my day, i was in such a hurry to shut down my computer b4 maghrib that when i was asked do u wish to save i cliked no  :( so abt 4/5 hrs work went down the drain..... anyway that is another story i think i have bored you long enough....

Just wanted to wish you all a happy and blessed Ramadan May Allah SWT grant that our Du'as are answered and our hearts are made light during this holy month.
