Remember them in your prayers too

My husband and I usually discuss the lecture given after Tarawee prayer (as I don't attend, babies and tarawee don't mix unfortunately).

It's yesterdays lecture I wanted to share with you. The Imam was talking about prayers, as in Ramadan we tend to make more Duaa for ourselves, our loved ones etc. He (the Imam) said 'We all make du'aa for our children, but how many of you have made Duaa for your non muslims neighbours children?? It's true their parents may not be on the right path, but that is not the childrens fault and they are young and innocent, if they stray it is when they grow older. It's therefore essential for us, when praying for our own children to remember these other children too.'

I had to share it with you as it really struck a chord with me,  I completely agree with the Imam on this one.

You are 100% correct.  Maybe we should even perform more du'aa for the non-muslim children.  Alhamdulillah, at leats we know that our own children follow the Islamic religion, and remember, any Muslim that has but one atom (tharat) iman or belief in Islam, that person will enter jannah Inshallah (of course after being punished for their sins).  But those that are of  a non-Muslim faith, those people will never even smell the scent of jannah.  So alhamdulillah and may Allah [swt] guide all of man kind down the straight path.
