| Where do I begin? Well, this is about 3 of my friends in particular (they are sisters). A lot of people (relatives) have been telling me lately that they have been seeing these girls around town with different guys. This shocked me since they muhajabat. I kind of knew this was true because I heard one of them talking on the phone in her room and it was a guy. I didn't eavesdrop on their conversation but his voice was loud. I also noticed that they're kind of flirtaous when they talk to the opposite gender. Then I notice that there mom is religous and very strict and maybe this is a way for them to rebel.I told my "sources" about the hadith "Part of being a good Muslim is leaving alone that which does not concern you." and tried to forget about it. The problem is around me they are fine and completely normal. They don't tell me anything that they do and act like good girls. My question is should I not talk to them because of the bad things they do (and by the way I am 100% sure this is true because once religion and hijab came up in a conversation and I heard there views). Or should I continue being friends with them since they don't do these things when I am around. I appreciate your response. |

| [slm] wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu Dear sister :-), This is just my opinion but maybe you could be friends with them and be a source of encouragement for them to be better. Take it as an oppertunity to give them dawah. Maybe you could be a good influence on them and they may relize that what they are doing is wrong. Also make du'a that they are guided to the strait path and that they leave there evil ways. Maybe you could even find a nice article about the evil of mixing with the opposite sex and flirting and give it to them. Hope this was helpfull ;D Fee Aman Allah, Amena :-* |
