| [slm] I just heard that our Press has been getting alot of letters about the article they did on the Ramadan puppet show we do in the schools. I do not get the paper and I just heard about it! Unfortunately their computer site has erased all the days there was an editorial except the one below: Letter: Religion in the classroom In your Nov. 11 edition on page 3B there were pictures published with third-grade students from Benjamin Franklin Elementary School looking at religious items such as prayer rugs and the Quran being shown by a Muslim woman. I assume the students were also scheduled to be shown religious items by a minister, a rabbi and a nun. Was the presentation cleared with those in society who are so outraged at the mention of God/religion in schools? CAROL DE FIDE |
