how long can you chew a piece of gum?

during ramadan, somebody asked one of the imams about whether you can use, toothpaste, wash your mouth, use mouthwash (i think) and....and...whether you can chew gum while yur fasting!

now,....,the imam said as long as the gum is tasteless...then fine...

but, many of of you like me must now that one can chew a piece of gum for like hours....and at the end of the chewing there's nothing left.

for example,  i have one friend who used to chew a piece of gum all day...and then when it was dinner...he used to take it out of his mouth...and stick the piece of gum in the fridge and resume chewing it after dinner.

now obviously the imam didn't know about such chewing gum fanatics...people who chew a piece until there's nothing left...

so how many other chewing/bubble gum nutters are out there...and what's your longest record?  6 hrs....12.....18.....a week? (my pal did it for a week)

Bismillah
As salam alaikum

When I was younger, I was also a chewing gum freak.  I do not know the longest was.  A long time though.  I would chew all day and at night put it in a glass of water to keep it moist.  Coming morning, it went out of the water cup and into my mouth again.  My brother recalls that habit with disgust.
