What made you think? What made an impact on you?

I truly believe things are put in our hearts to do or say that will have an impact on someone and touch them and most times we do not even know it does.

The other day I had been going through a pity party and was kind of sad and came across a post Sister Halima did. It touched my heart and made me think and also made be realize I needed to be thankful and also gave me strength.
It was her signature at the bottom of her posts. As follows:

"Forgiveness and tolerance increase the honour and respect of their owners. Be forgiving so that Allah will cherish you" Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the Strong". Mahatma Gandhi

We all help each other and we get in some awesome and interesting debates at times. I would like to dedicate this thread to the ones who touch peoples lives without even knowing.
Who on the board touched your life? By something they said? A post that helped when they had no idea you needed to read or hear it?
And if you wish not to make it public may I encourage you to private message them and let them know they touched your life in some way.

There are so many here who have and I am going to try to message at least 2 a day till I get to all who have touched my heart and my life in some way. I challenge you all to do the same.  All of you are so special in many and different ways.
May Allah Bless each and everyone of you and reward you for your wisdom, strength and compassion.

Well it's weird, I make references to things I learn from people on this board regularly.

Picking out one thing or one person would be very difficult.

There was something Jannah said about something (I have the line memorized), but I'm not going to repeat it.  I tell everyone I know about that...

Anyway, now's a good time, and this thread is a good place: THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

Wasalaam.

That anonymous sis who warned us all to be careful even if we are religious, in the thread where she asked for naseeha after commiting adultery. She was a practicing Muslimah before that but it all started from mixing and with time... disaster!!!

And perhaps it sounded normal to many of you but the words that'll stay with me for rest of my life (inshaAllah) came from the mamma! (mod aka Kathy)

Her father asked her to take the silly thing (head scarf) off when she landed at the airport after getting divorced but she dint coz she dint convert for the man she married but for Allah.
