| [slm] All, without going into fatwas and articles and theories, can somebody please quote incidents where the Companions or the salaaf interacted with opposite gender! Like the companions used to go to Aisha [ra] (our mother) to ask Islamic matters but did they go to her when the Prophet [saw] was alive? and then i heard of this incident when Abu Hurarah [ra] corrected another female companion as to how she should cover while she was out and then there was this female companion who corrected Omer [ra]... i mean the specific incidents (detailed if you can). And i'd sure like to know the whole incident of Rabia Basri [rahimahullah] and Hassan Basri [rahimahullah]. She was a gr8 poetess (and a sheikha?) and Hassan basri proposed to her by sending someone..... ? I'd really apprecite if you guys and sisters can quote other such incidents. [slm] Asim Zafar. |
