[slm] I was wondering if Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall's translation of the Holy Qur'aan is a good one? Which translations would u recommend and which ones should be avoided? [wlm] |

as salaamu alaykum, here is a link to an older thread discussing Qur'an translations you may want to check out: http://www.jannah.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl/YaBB.pl?board=madrasa&action=display&num=6622 have you guys heard of this 'poetic' translation of the Qur'an that came out fairly recently? what do y'all think? wasalaamu alaykum :) |

as-salaamu alaikum I found a link somewhere on the web to a new translation that Yahya Emerick is working on. I think he and his team have translated half of it and a portion of the translation is available online. It might be the one that Se7en is referring to. Unfortunately, i can't find the link. |
