Teeth Falling Out!

I've had this dream/ nightmare quite a number of times (of my teeth falling out) and it's terrifying! The first time I had it, it had been a particular molar. It was SO REAL..and I'm serious, it was- like an actual ruqya. A month later my grandmother passed away. So I looked it up in Tafsir al Ahlam and it said that each tooth signify's a family member and to lose one meant a death. I was freaked to say the least because I saw the same dream a couple more times after that and relatives died!  :(
Anyway, the other day I saw my whole upper set of teeth crumble and fall out.  :'( This is really getting to me because I never really see or remember my dreams except when they're a real ruqya. So now I'm like thinking who will be next!
I'm just curious has anyone ever had a similar dream? And how can I know that it's not just a regular nightmare? My only interpretation of it was that recently a relative died and I must have felt that the family was growing smaller and smaller.?

I'd really appreciate some words of comfort...

hmm... yes, i've had those kind of dreams many times. i remember seeing that the front upper set of teeth were falling all at once. plus i've also seen the molar (s) coming out. it did bother me quite a bit.

i have also heard that the molars represent specific family members -- i can look up the name of the book and post it here-- ... but then alhamdulillah i did not really hear of any deaths in the family around the time when i saw the dream... so i dunno ...

but then i came across ask-imam.com and there they had these 2 questions about falling teeth in dreams. the answer to that was that if anyone sees their teeth falling, then it represents that that person will live a long life, cuz we usually lose teeth at an old age...  kinda makes sense...
another answer on the website there was something like "may Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) bless you with a long life".

and Allah knows best.

was salamualaikum.

In past four months THREE of my friends dreamt about me (1 of them twice). The dream was same i.e. i've shaved my beard  :o ... Whats even weirder is that an year back i had the same dream and it shook me wake up. (Not even the scariest of dreams ever shook me)

Probly i'm commiting some sin or something, make dua for me inshaAllah.
Alhamdulillah i know a scholar who is good at explaining the meanings and as the third friend has only told his dream to me yesterday, so now i'm definitly going to ask the shaykh about it.

Request for duas inshaAllah.

We are not supposed to tell our bad dreams or have people interpret it UNLESS if someone is in a qualified position to do so..such as a shaykh who knows about dream interpretation.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Try this book:

Dreams and Interpretations by Allamah Muhammad Bin Sireen (R.A)
English rendering: Muhammad Rafeeq Moulana Ahmad Hathurani

That has a section relating to teeth falling out.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I was always told not to share bad dreams but then ppl keep telling you that dreams have opposite interpretations and i kinda got carried away.

About interpretation of my dream from the shaykh that i talked about.... dream was not bad alhamdulillah, can't go into details but it can be something good and is related to ppl around me and my interaction with them.

If telling interpretations of dreams is considered OK then i can share it with you ppl just for knowleadge sharing purposes (may be!)

Thank you all for the responses. Just to comment on some of your posts though, I did know that I'm not supposed to talk about "bad" dreams but mine seemed more like a ruqya than a nightmare...not a nice one but still...anyway, I had it more than once which was odd in itself.
My second comment was that I got the interpretation from an oooold ibn Sireen book in Arabic that belongs to my parents and from what I know he's the best source.
Also, about it possibly meaning a long life, I don't know if that really is such a good thing.? I mean who would want to live forever ( or would seem like it) anyway?

Well thanks again for the posts and sharing your stories.
