slm, Lol! :D Now I don't want you people thinking that I'm this "Incredible Hulk" type of girl who goes around hitting people when they make me angry! :) Trust me. If it were anyone other than my brothers and they made me angry, I wouldn't even yell. I would calmly talk to them. I hate yelling. I don't think I have ever hit anyone (except my bros ;D) out of anger. Now my bros are a different story. Since they are my brothers I am ALLOWED to hit them, jokingly of course :). My brother would say, "now Doha, what do you do when someone does this....." and he might pin my arms back or something. Then I show him what I would do. Then he would say "Okay. I'm just getting you ready for the real world." Then I always look at him and say, "Now Munthir (his name), when is someone gonna do that to me in the "real world." Then usually he answers "You never know." LOL, he's a trip. My dad always says "Boys I don't want my baby (I'm the youngest :P) becoming a tomboy!" All I have to say is Yeah Right!!!!!!!!!!! I am far from ever becoming a "tomboy." I'm just simple. I hang aroung with plenty of Muslimahs and I'm kinda a "girly-girl", I wear skirts and stuff and act kinda girly. :-* Just wanted to clear that up before people started thinking I was a violent little girl who punches people when she feels like it! :) So Big Bro Nomi: You don't have to protect your family from me. Don't be scared. I am completely harmless and I don't bite. :-* Wasalaam, Doha :-) |

[slm] How are we doing Ikhwans ;-) You guys must have gone through that hijab stylin' thread started by sis Manaar at Akhwat with visual presentation. InshaAllah it'll insprie non-hijabi sisters to start observing it... with time inshaAllah :) That thread gave me this idea of doing something same for the brothers here as this thread is perfect for this stuff ;-). i'll call this post Beard Stylin His beard is really kewl, liked that v.much. I'll call it perfect. This dude should trim his moustache a litle. This one should also try zappin the 'mushee' Any other tips from bearded bros ??
Good keep it and btw are you a "pathan" (pathan are normally white and beautiful, so was this girl)
best line in this whole thread. Advice for the brothers in pictures: The brother in the last picture needs a bit of spanking too.
actually zapping the mushy is really only a hanafi thing....i even met one salafi who insisted that zapping it was not islamic....
hmmm so the hanafi thing is to zap it, salafi thing is not to zap it, what is the muslim thing? |

[slm] :) Bro Nomi how about starting a business manufacturing and selling beards in different styles and colors? btw i have a beard, too. only it is white, so the smilie with the black beard isn't all that appropriate ;-) our married sisters would be able to protect their husbands. |
I dunno, may be few brothers can chip in with their comments then we'll work on its feasibility. But if ur colors include green and purple then count me OUT [slm] ~Not a very colorful brother. |

[slm] I dont remember that docs face, what if his memory is photographic? I dread the day when i'll have to face him! What if i were bearded back then, what would have been my priority? Coz as they say.... "with gr8 beards come gr8 responsibilities" [wlm] ~me :( |

as salaamu alaykum, umm.. I feel out of place in this thread.. but anyway, I remember our imam talking about the whole shaving the mustache thing and he said most scholars say that you *should not* shave it, that actually some scholars say that this is a form of mutilation/disfigurement, and what is meant is to keep it trim/short/above the lips.. Allahu a'lam wasalaamu alaykum |
