Realy need to ask sisters this

Assalaamu-alaikum Warahmatulaahi Wabarakatuhu

This issue has been playing on my mind a lot recently, i really hope we can have a debate here on this issue without people getting emotional or weepy.

I debate a lot with non-muslim women about Islaam, about politics, current affairs and world news. One thing which is always apparent is they always back their soldiers during wars.

However when i speak to muslim women, they rarely if ever show support for the "Mujaahideen", Islaamic fighters, muslim brothers who are prepared to give their lives simply to fight for and try and defend the honour and lives of fellow muslims.

Why is this? Why are sisters generally anti Jihad and so unable to show support for the mujaahideen, even when talking to fellow muslims?

However i must point out this applies more to "western" muslim women rather than those from non-muslim countries. For example, working with me are a Nigerian sister, and an Algerian sister, and both of these sisters  openly support the mujaahideen and see them as there own brothers fighting in defence of Islaam. So why do sisters bought up in the west not seem to feel the same way?

May i again ask for constructive contributions, and if you make a claim, or statement, or comment, please explain why you feel the way you do, as this issue has played on my mind a lot lately.

My guess is because we have never met one....

Follow that up with a life time of successful brainwashing by the media since we were two, about those dirty a=rabs...

As-salaam aleikum

Mujaahid, don't worry. I think there are some people who are afraid to say they support "Islamic fighters" despite the so called democracy/ freedom of speech we have here. I, on the other hand, have come to realize that had it not been for them, Muslims in many regions of the world would be extinct. (Note that I disagree with some of the ways they choose to fight).
At the same time I feel that whatever we get we deserve in a way because we can't change how the world sees us until we have made a change within ourselves first. Many of us may say "Allahu Akbar!" with great passion but I doubt that it truly vibrates through to our soul - especially those "Islamic fighters". It's like chasing our own tails - we just won't get anywhere.
The way I look it is whatever they do or don't do, it's Allah's (swt) will and I accept it. We already know what will happen in the end.

Jihad takes many forms...I love my mujahideen brothers those who wake up every morning and leave their abodes to provide a halal meal for their families...

I love my mujahideen brothers those who treat other's illnesses and take care of their grieving souls..

i love those who play with their children, are tender to their wives, use hikma in dawah and are struggling to improve their imaan daily, hourly, all the time.

I love those who tread the path least taken, those who adventure into the world to search for knowledge, those who spend out of their wealth, time, and struggle to find enclaves of shuyukh and slowly carry the pearls of the wealth they inherit back to the masses and this chaotic world.

i love those who show gentleness to the orphans, who help the downtrodden, who remove the thorns off our paths and ease the pain of our collective struggling souls..in their own sweet, understanding ways...in the beautiful demeanor of the Rasul [saw].

Don't get me wrong, I love my fighting brothers..i love those who are display the bravery of Hamza (RA), Umar (RA), Salahu Deen Ayyubi (Rahimahu Allah) and the of course the combination of all the bravery, diplomatic wisdom and beauty in the Rasul  [saw].

i guess my point is, we need every single one of our brothers..we need the healers, the writers, the thinkers, the teachers,  the artists, the strugglers, the fighters..we need true solid Muslim men that can build tommorow's foundation for generations of sincere Mujahideen in Allah's path in all the complexity, depth and diversity of that word.

The pain I am feeling soo deep in my heart at the chaos of today's world (both without and within) needs to be assuaged by something soo much more profound than more violence and bloodshed. If the world is a mirror of the desert within my soul, we all are parched for the sweetest nectar of all that is Beautiful and Reflective of Him, and not any more blood sucking venomous fangs of death and despair.

a weary, thirsty wanderer.

Mash'Allah what a beautiful reply from sis Nur Al Layl. I too respect and admire all my brothers who are strugglijg in the path of Allah.Especially those who are doing Jihad to protect Islam and Muslims..........to defend justice and peace and to oppose kufr and oppression.

Indeed they are the ones who have nothing to lose..........paradise for the martyrs and victory for those who live.Insha'Allah.
