| [slm] all, This may seem off beat or dumb..but whoever has anything to say on it...will greatly be appreciated. So I have been talking to this guy, family has been involved, talk to his sister etc.. with the idea of marriage partner in mind. Actually, I came to my own conclusion that this guy will be the one..go figure.. anyhow, IS it normal in Islamic courting, for a guy while courting (for lack of a better word) to talk to other girls at the same time?? To be clearer..should he be engaging in phone conversations with another girl, while my family, his family and he and I have been working on gettign to knwo one another and have found some connections etc?????? Although he is 'not interested' and has found this girl to be 'nice' ..and he thinks she may like him?? isnt this dumb? or is it just me being silly? I feel like a little kid asking this ..but sometimes adults engage in behaviors that are adolescent to say the least!!!! >:( and should I be worried? sigh..and some wonder why some women dont get married...!!!!!! human beings are so fallible! jazakallah khair in advance ::) lala |

| [wlm] erm sis i cant giv you an answer on an islamic scale b'cause my knowledge doesnt extend that far- but from a mere logical point of view, theres 2 explanations for this behaviour ( well 2 that come to mind at this moment) 1. hes still searching 'the field' and is holding you as a safety net.....i maybe wrong and dnt want u to make any descisions on my reasoning.... 2.its wrong of him to be talking to others girls- cos hes playing with their emotions..esp if he knows the other party has taken a liking to him.......no good! he may just be a common 'lad' that likes multiple attention!!!! n needs to grow up! plz plz plz dnt take everything i say as the only explanation, maybe u should do istikhara again- spk to him- or someone older for some sound wise advise |
