Miloonga uss sey tho, deikhoon tho saheeh mein kay hothi hai kaisee parchaayee meree hai Safeeh hain woh jo ghairon ko poojthey hain jabke aysaa Meherbaan Rab hai hamaara Meherbaani ka ye aalam dunya mein ho aysaa tho Jannath kee hooron kee daasthaan kya ho Qadar na hai jaani jo logon ne Rab kee Un sabkee bekasee pey hum kyun'jee ro'yen? Gham tho hotha hai apne gunaahon ko yaad karkey Eeman na chhin jaaye jo moyassar hu'aa hai Ummeed hai hamaari Rab Taubah khubool karley, Rahmath mein apnee dhaamp ley, chhupaa ley Khatha'on ko mu'af karkey, naar sey bachaa ley. | a rough translation from someone... She, for whom I have been looking for that discovery is near today I have never seen her before But I am certain she isn't a stranger (Inshallah) I used to think she was hidden in India somewhere A strange coincidence it was that I discovered her here Coming to a foreign land, where would i seek her, who would i ask I never thought I would find her among these hard hearted folks Then one day she she hinted who she was Then I understood he (*strange the tense changes here) is hidden here I asked a few questions and I knew verily That it was her, that it was my reflection She was unaware of these happenings she was asleep when I myself woke her Its by the grace of the Lord that He delivered us from darkness and showed us the light so That I satisfy myself that this isnt a dream That Life in this world isn't eternal and we have to return to Him one day When I meet her I will understand properly What does my reflection really look like safeeh? are those who worship anything else but him When he has been so merciful to us in this world What will be the story of the hoors in Jannath why should we cry on their state of helplessness when Iam sad remembering my sins Hope my imaan that has been granted isnt taken away I hope that our Lord accepts our Taubah He covers me with his grace and mercy Forgives our sins and saves us from the hellfire. |

| [slm] hmm, this poem doesn't make any sense to me :( seems to me like a romantic poem talking about someone's sweetheart suddenly changes gears and starts talking about the Rabb (?) can someone explain? |

| slm, well we can't really figure it out yet... like a lot of poems on the surface it seems like just about a woman or something.. but some things indicate it's not and it's definitely much deeper so it could be about his reflection, his soul, his death, resurrection and hereafter.. it's not my first language so i can't really analyze it properly... wsps maybe u can come back and explain it to us :) |

| Assalamu 'alaikum, The first para doesn't make much sense. I mean, I am having difficulty understanding it, and relating it to the 2nd and 3rd para, but the 2nd and 3rd on their own do make sense. Maybe bhaloo can enlighten us by using his Urdu skills :P or sis. Just One, or Nomi :). |

| [slm] Awesome translitaeration. Although, judging from the "khubool" the person who transliterated it, is hydrebadi :) I think I get it, btw. The "she" he is referring to is probably "faith". Because he says he searched for her in "Hind", but he found her in strange lands, who would have thought? All this, thanks to God, because only He could have helped with something like this. So on and so forth, etcetera and beyond. What do you think, bro Bulwark :) Wasalaam. |
