| [slm] :) Let duffs roll... and this time sis Maliha is right. ;) I *am* back in good health. Went for a lighning parade of my homeland to finalize a deal. Al hamdu lillah. The replies for the thread "A Q on 2-be goom wear? " were helpful indeed, starting from sis Janna's advice ;) It was light-colored suit at first sight, formals at the contract signing, and jodhpuri at the night function ( http://www.diwansaheb.com/ethnic-wear/jodhpuri.html ) The entire issue happened in a week's time, with just 3 days spent at the homeland. On Mon moring, dropped at the girl's house on way from airport, both parties confirm "yes" in minutes time, sweets distributed; elders talk and the idea of engagement turns to nikah; in evening same day rush to the residence of the Ahl Bait leader who was the dream personality for both the parties to conduct the nikah; thurs morning is fixed; Tue and wed - dad travels for inviting close family members, mom shops for gold and dress for the girl; Thurs morning NIKAH by Syed Muhammad Ali Shihab, the supremo of Indian Union Muslim League and qazi of hundreds of localities; same day evening visit to girl's house- girl in maroon sharara and boy in creamish jodhpuri ; fri morning back to UAE :( I sincerely thank everyone for their duas and well wishes. The posts here were very helpful in making up the mind. I literally took every word of isthikhara dua in its literal sense while making this choice. Allah knows best. And now, life feels more focused, although she is at a distance. :'( :-[ And this thing involves more practical wisdom, than idealistic essays or dreamy poems :) ... although it has made me all the more poetic ;) Al hamdu lillah. There is no words to thank him for what has happened so quickly... I am happy to share this news with all of you. bro Jaihoon :) |
