[slm] a teddy bear to hug cus youre not around ...dont laugh..i'm not! I'm serious. or if you want..a nice book with poems..(islamic or something else i guess) guess you cant really send jewelry over mail? ::) international star registry...they have a website..look it up..you can get a star renamed (to like both of your names..or just her name) and they can send you a certificate...kinda corny..but you be the judge.. but no matter what you send..enclose a nice card or letter with some nicely chosen words ...well you are a poet so i guess that wont be a problem! and speak from the heart..she is far away..so keep the heart longing.... hope i didnt say anything wrong bro. forgive me if i did. I'm jsut a hopeless romantic! peace and have fun figuring this one out! -lala |

slm, a nice book on rumi poetry? married to u she's gonna have to get used to this poetry stuff ;) this new one that just came out is beautiful or how about your own book with a nice inscription on the first page! nice unique books tapes and cds and stuff are always nice gifts to send far away... what about the tried and true ones?i don't know anyone who doesn't like receiving them... flowers, jewelery, chocolate, perfume -- depends on what she likes.. best gift is something in her interests and hobbies...so do some research!! ask her sister and friends... |

[wlm] from my email about eid gifts this year and it sounds good to me: Here is a site that masha'Allah has a self-suffiency attitude that I really like! There are artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed by giving us a chance to trade our money for their products. In turn the money goes to help the children with basic needs such as food, books, health stuff, etc. You may also donate books! http://www.pcwf.org/index.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~ personally I like the journal and pillo covers and shawl and shoes and carved mother of pearls brooches...so much i like actually. For you since it is for future spouse insha'Allah you might want the embroidered mural of wedding? I think it is important to remember our brothers and sisters even when we are celebrating, they are still living in shakles. Why spend a penny on American products. |
