Need advice about Awful Teacher? |

[slm] I have a problem. One of our teachers in college is a really awful teacher - a nice person - but an awful teacher. When we were given anonymous questionnaires to fill in about teachers' performances I gave her very low marks. Our student representative tried to follow all the right procedures to complain on our behalf, and several people complained to our personal tutor - but there was no response. Myself and my classmates, all answered the questionnaire effectively giving the teacher a 'bad report'. The problem is that now I feel really guilty about doing so. I know the review was anonymous, and I answered it truthfully, but I just feel guilty now. What would you have done? Any advice for me? (I'm not feeling too happy with myself at the moment!) [wlm] |

[wlm] [/quote] I would of done exactly what you did, be honest. I would of also mentioned the teacher was nice yet here are a few things I felt the teacher could work on to be a more effective teacher and then I would of listed the suggestions. If you were honest with no bad feelings toward this teacher and it sounds like this is the case, maybe you helped her/him know how to improve their teaching skills and helped future students also. I know you feel bad but you would of not helped the teacher or others by not being totally honest. |
