In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The Office of the Muslim Chaplain at Rutgers University presents a two part study circle:

I.  Commentary on the Qur'an and Group Discussion:  Traditional, verse by verse commentary with the exploration of the words and themes from diverse approaches, ranging from grammatical to spiritual. (35 mins)

II.  "Successful indeed are the believers, who are humble in their prayers."  (al Mu'minun: 1-2)  (35 mins)

A semester long study of the inward aspects of prayer.  This class will have emphasis on practical steps towards achieving 'success' in our daily lives and the hereafter through prayer and supplication.  The primary text for the class will be ibn Qayyim al Jawziyya's classic work, al Wabil al Sayyib.

All sessions will be taught by Ustadh Walead Mohammed, the Muslim chaplain of Rutgers University.

**On select evenings (typically the 2nd Wednesday of each month), the study circle will be replaced by a Movie Night.  A list of relevant documentary and feature titles will be submitted to participating students along with a schedule.   Brief introductions and/or discussions of the films will be made by qualified discussants.   Showings are to be held in the modern media equipped lecture halls on Busch campus.

For more info, please contact the Office of the Muslim Chaplain at Rutgers University, info@omcru.org, or 732.729.0690

Classes meet Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:45 p.m.  Classes are free and open to all.
