Anger Management? |

I have a severe anger problem. I bottle up for months and then one fine day I explode. Every few months I have a mojor outburst involving screaming, crying, beating the crap out of my brother. He takes it wellbecause he's taller and stronger, but I think I need to stop. Little things piss me off, like someone forgetting to turn off the lights at night, when I wasn't the last one to go to sleep. Or someone lying about dumb things. Or someone asking me to do something unreasonable. My anger causes me to do rash things which I regret, and I don't really quite know how to fix it. I don't think I get angry about the wrong things, I get angry in a wrong way. Is there a way to fix this, other than therapy. |

wlm, wow there are some limits. taking out your anger on another person through violence is clearly wrong. uncontrollable anger over minor things is a real problem and if you can't help doing it, you need to get some professional help. you obviously know something is very wrong and don't want to get therapy but getting professional help is the best way. there are alot of free, private services through universities and community places.. even hotlines you can contact. there are even courses you can take for anger management like that. if you don't get help now to learn how to control your emotions i am scared to think of what might happen in the future. there are some older threads about getting angry and some hadiths and tips on it etc, but i think yours is an extreme case, please get some help. |
