Real Life: How ugly are you ??

[tt]Note: I'm not asking for naseeha here :) [/tt]

[slm]

So how ugly can you get in "real" life?

Of course ALL of us are all so angelic in this virtual world but whats your real face?

Let me start from myself, i have problems controlling my temper at times. Like back in days it was a story of every new day but over the course of years i've brought it down to once every 4/5 months or so (~max), with the help of Allah [swt] of course.

Plus i apologize in matter of minutes now unlike back in days when i "never" (virtually) used to admit my mistakes.

Hm... i remember BroHanif once mentioned in a thread on here that he wanted to break arm of a hafiz ustad who hit some kid in his masjid. Then we have the cowgirl as well :P

OK, it was to start from me, so here goes..

1] Have you ever kick-broken a wooden door in your islamic-life? I have. (as i was not experienced so it took 2 kicks instead)

2] How many times have you thrown a naked punch at a nicely painted brick wall, in your islamic-life? Me, 5 to 7 times. And it hurts, ALOT.

BUT Hey there is lots of improvement over the months, trust me. At least (unlike BroHanif :P) I dont hit living ~beans. I try my best not to offend others, of course words can be taken diferently.

And i only did no1 and #2 in extreme frustration!

I know i'm ugly
How ugly are you "in real life"?

Come on, take that mask off

-ugly desi

ps: heh Fatima was just trying to scare me by making "ugly" faces... she still looked the cutest princess in da world :)

pps: Did i tell you that i'm listening to this song by "Strings": A cricket theme song that goes [i]"aa O aa O.. aa O aa .. aa lay alay alay O"  ...  "hae koi hum jaesa?"  (is there any challenger?)[/i]

Salaams,

As you get older you become wiser, and you begin to see the errors of your ways. I think when we all young we were hot off the mark. Yet now, I tend to listen to what the other person has said, breath deeply twenty million times and then talk to them. I think we are all ugly at times...

The innocent, young, old and weak should ALWAYS be protected, for when you are old,the young will be strong to help you in your old age.
ASbuse on a kids is wrong, sick, and wackos do it, fullstop. No excuses, no ifs, no buts. You can never hit a child in anger, thats what some of these molvis were doing. Try picking on someone like me, I'll teach em a nice sabbak., one they won't forget.

C'mon...we both know how many people YOU have upset by not doing a certain action??? Don't we! If you have a gift and you don't share it with others I think thats very mean, share your life with others..does the number 4 ring a bell?.

Salaams,

Hanif

ok,ok, i admit...my character is less than angelic...

last week, i had the worst of toothaches that lasted 2 days...and throughout my suffering people kept calling me up, insist on meetings, etc.... that i couldn't help but snap at them, was very grouchy.... :(

and i am very ashamed of my behaviour, especially when i remember sister serena, and the suffering that she is going through...i'm pretty sure that she wouldn't have behaved the same way i did...

and that was only due to toothaches....astaghfirullah...Ya rabbi, i failed Your test....

:-)

p.s.  i post this to admit to my own fallibility as a mere mortal struggling through life to surrender my will to Allah's

[slm],
Sorry but I think it is best not to broadcast our ugly side?  We all make mistakes.  I certainly do.  But whatever it is we may have done, we should keep it to ourselves.  Learn from mistakes and carry on.
I do not like to listen to what other people done.  Don't feel right.

Gotta be careful about what we say guys.

Technically you are right (technically eh?). I agree! Although i wanted to add more like how we have two servants at my house of age 16 and 17 and that they live here with facilities that their parents couldn't give them in their village due to poverty. Basic education, reading Qur'an, eating same food that we do. New dresses for changing weathers and Eids, pocket money etc.

But many here will still call me ugly for "WHY CHILD LABOR ??" thingy of their's not considering tens of other factors involved. So here i admit another thiny that makes me ugly (more?). Anywho, you are quite right, jazaks for the pointer.

I just wanted to make a point to someone who still hasn't replied, i expected a reply here or an apology via IM. I've been apologizing to ppl, sis amkamb crushed her ego to say sorry to specific ppl, why can't others kill their ego?

Is Allah big or our ego ?

Wish sista amkamb would return to this board.  But she aint angry with nobody.  Just that she wanna be safe by remaining silent.  Better safe than sorry she says.

[slm] sister SoHuman is right. I agree with everything she has said here.

if you broadcast your sins, you are unlikely to be forgiven

why, do you know?

because it encourages others to commit sins.

When a person shows his or her ugliness, their asking for your duas, specific ones.  We all need specific duas.  If I hadn't shared the ugliness of myself to my cousin who I only confide to, I'd stay ugly the rest my life.  Allah shows you ways.

However, it's only hidden when it's meant to be hidden which means you should not reveal it.

Hmmm....hope I made sense.

Ma-asalaama....

Confiding in someone you trust is ok imo.  That is not the same as broadcasting your ugliness in public.

And I imagine this board is public?

yea, yall are right. If I respond to crazy situtions with crazyness, I'll keep it among us crazies, and deny it till judgement day, when I will have to tell someone, unless I'm not asked about it.
