[slm] It is a true Hadith, and those who rely on everything for Allah(swt) and never ask any one for anything, are entitled to enter withour hisaab. I read this in "Fathul Majeed" which is an explanation of "Kitabut Tawheed", but I read an [s]English[/s] Urdu translation of the Arabic book. Later, though, I will try to dig out that book and attempt to translate and give more details, insha`Allah.

[slm],
sist. yumna.....Allah's judgement is swift.  He don't need to wait to give His judgement.

There is a special class of people who will enter paradise without hisab.......
their deeds are so exceptional that they go there straight.

The Quran says everyone will be judged and not a smallest thing left out.  Even an atom's weight taken to account.

In the case of those people who go straight to paradise, Allah has already taken into account all their deeds and His decision is they are to go straight to paradise.
But their account is still taken into consideration of course.

Hope that made sense.  If I am wrong, please guys correct me.

[slm] OK here is my poor attempt at translation (and the real bit isn't translated, but i am sure an English translation of the Hadith exists. :)

Hadhrat ibn-e-Abbas (ra) narrates that the prophet [saw] said:

"I was shown many Ummahs, and I saw that with some prophet (pbuh) there was a large number of people, while with some there were only one or two persons, and I even saw a prophet (pbuh) with whom there was no one.

Suddenly there appeared a group comparising a very large number of people. I thought this was my Ummah, but I was told this was the prophet Musa (as) and his followers.

Then I saw another very large group of people. I was told this was my Ummah, and in your Ummah there will be 70,000 people who will enter Jannah without any questioning or pentinence.

After saying this the prophet [saw] went inti his quarters. The Companions (ra) started guessing among themselves who such people would be. Some thought these would be those who have had the honor of the prophet's company, while others were of the view that these would be those people who are born in Islam and have not associated any one in partnership with Allah (swt). And trhere were other opinions as well.

When the prophet [sw] came out again, the Companions put forward their different views, and the prophet [saw] said: no, but these will be people who do not:

Here I am stuck. I have somehow lost my vocabulary, it seems. So I will post the Urdu, and let someone come up with the translation in English, or better still, the
whole Hadith: :)

1 - Ïã
2 - ÏÇÛäÇ
3 - ÝÇá

and they rely entirely on Allah (swt):

ie tawakkul ( Êæßá )

Ukasha (ra) bin Muhsan got up  and requested the prophet [saw] to pray to Allah that he (Ukasha) should be from among such people. The prophet (saw) said: "You are one of them". Then another Companion got up and asked, " Please make dua for me that I should also be from among such people." The prophet [saw[ said:

"Ukasha got it first".

The Hadith is narrated in Muslim, Tirmidhi, Nisai

The explanation in Fathul Majeed is simply superb.
_________

SubhanAllah, in Musnad-e-Ahmed, and Baihaqi there are these additional words: "and I requested Allah (swt) to increase this number, and Allah added 70,000 to every thousand.

and somewhere I read that 70,000 in Arabic is meant as a very large uncountable number. If that is true, then there will be many who qualify.

may we all be among those, but look at the conditions.

SubhanAllah, there I was struggling with translations of this HAdith, and on a website we have this:

Allah--ta`ala--said: "Ebrahim was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, a hanif.  He was not an associationist."  (Qor'an 16:120)  [Allah called His servants] "those who associate naught with their Lord."  (Qor'an 23:59)

Hosayn ebn `Abder-Rahman reported: "Once, when I was at Sa`id ebn Jobayr's, I heard the Prophet ask: 'Who has seen the shooting star yesterday?'  I answered: 'I did,' and explained that I was not at prayer at the time because I had been stung.  He said: 'What did you then do?'  I replied: 'I sought spiritual means (roqyat) to cure it.'  He said: 'What compelled you to do that?'  I said: 'A report I heard from ash-Sha`bi, which he related on behalf of Boraydat ebn al-Hosayb, who said: 'No roqyat or recourse for cure by spiritual means except from jealousy or a scorpion's sting.'  He said: 'You did well to reach this knowledge.'"  However, Ebn `Abbas reported: "The Prophet--sa`aws--said: 'All the nations were paraded in front of me, and I saw the prophets follow one another, the one with a large crowd, the other with two or three people, and one with none.  There then appeared a large multitude of people which I took to be my people.  But I was told that these were the people of Mosa.  Later, a larger multitude appeared and I was told that those were my people.  Among them were seventy thousand who would enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment.'  The Prophet then left for his chambers, and the people began to surmise who of them would be in the Prophet's company on that day. Some said: 'Perhaps it would be the companions of the Prophet--sa`aws.'  Others surmised it to be those who were born into Islam and therefore had never associated anything with Allah.  The Prophet returned and found them still trying to guess.  They asked him about the identity of the people, and he said: 'They are those who do not seek spiritual cures for physical ills, who do not practice cauterization, nor believe in omens, but depend totally on their Lord.'  `Okashat ebn Mehsan rose and said: 'O Prophet, pray to Allah that I may be one of them.'  The Prophet answered: 'You are indeed one of them.'  When another
person sought to repeat the request, the Prophet told him that `Okashat had beaten him to it.

Asalaamu Alaikum ;-)

[color=Red]Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is Allah's earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" [39:10][/color]

In addition to what has already been posted, some commentators of the Qu'ran interpret without measure in the above verse as "without reckoning".

As ever Allah knows best.
