Veteran newswoman Linda Ellerbee has spent the last decade trying to educate young people through a series of top-notch TV specials.

And no, this isn't Mrs. Rogers time.

Ellerbee tackles tough issues through the eyes of young people who face the problems on a daily basis. Tonight she helps both adults and children understand what it is like to be Muslim in post 9/11 America.

`The United States Constitution guarantees us the freedom to worship,'' she says in this half-hour special. ``The right to be respected, to be treated with kindness, to be understood no matter what your religion, is not in the Constitution. But it is in us.''

In a tightly packed show, viewers are given an overview of Islam, the world's second-largest religion, and its practices. On stage with Ellerbee are a group of young teens, including Muslims who practice their religon to varying degrees. Muslims, for example, are forbidden to dance. But some feel it is fine as long as there is no sexual connotation to the dancing.

Some non-Muslim youths in the group give their insights after the terrorist attacks.

One pre-recorded segment looks at three teenaged girls, one Catholic, one Muslim and one Jewish, who became close friends after 9/11.

It's a show worth watching with your children, if only to open up a discussion.
