So, have any of you sisters seen the new halal bathing suits?  Here's a link to some (in Turkish) http://www.hasema.com/bayan/violet/violet.htm and jelbab.com is supposed to be getting some in soon.  The one's at the Turkish site actually look a lot like pajamas :).  Maybe swimming's not out after all. Oh yeah, here's an article about islamic suits: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/910379.stm
So what do you ladies think?  Would you wear one to the beach or pool?

I'd most prolly wear a more muted colour of the Rose collection to a fairly deserted beach. And one from the Fishgirl collection in an all ladies pool.

I just hope the outfit is such that the top wouldn't ride up when we swim.

I wonder wot the price is like?

I recently had to find a swimsuit and searched all over the net for modest suits.  I saw the turkish site but they dont have english set up.  I ended up getting a dive skin or like a wet suit but made of swimsuit lycra on sale for about 40 dollars, and I plan to wear a short jumper or a tee shirt and kulots over it so I dont show off my curves, or my lumps rather.  I figure that ought to be modest enough with plenty of skin all around me to draw attention away from my thick old calves.
I saw one christian swimsuit site with something similar but with short legs and sleves, the site said they could modify, but I kinda dreaded expalining a muslim swimsuit to a christian lady of that kind of intensity and it was neccessary to phone all orders in so I moved on. Also they started at 90 dollars unmodified, so this was is actually cheaper too.
but Im glad I was able to fix something up for swimming in because I love standing in the ocean feeling the waves, and this way I dont have to worry about jellyfish, or anything like that.
