My introduction

[slm],
My name is Aminah and I have been in and out of this board.  I am entirely responsible for this and the fault rests with me.  I do not blame anyone.  The first time I left was because of my temper (audhu billahi mina shaytanir rajeem!) and the second time was because I felt I was talking way too much.  So my fault entirely!

A bit about me.  Where are my manners?  I joined the board without any introduction.   :-)

Meet a college professor.  That was me.  I used to be a Lecturer in English when I was in India.  Today I am a stay at home mom.  The mom job is far more difficult!!

Anyway, I was born in a family that considers itself to be rational.  They are always engaged in discussions about the non-existence of God and how religion is responsible for the wars and misery in this world.

I am an independent thinker.  I learned to think rationally thanks to the way my family is.  But my drift was towards Islam.  The most reasonable and rational religion in this world.  My family was shocked when they heard I became muslim.
But I don't care what they think.

Everything in Islam makes sense to me.  There is an answer to everything in Islam.  All you need to do is look and seek and you will find the answer.

I have a solid hatred for evil.  Evil springs out of disbelief in Allah, meaning the root of all evil is in being a kafir or disbeliever.  I have first hand experience living among disbelievers and I know for a fact that a person who does not fear Allah can do anything.......any amount of evil.

La ilaha il Allah!

Welcome sister!
I am also relatively new here (last couple of days).  I visited your Islamic boot camp website, I have got half way through so far.  I like your style of writing.  It is direct and easy to understand.  Often I come across sites which are aimed at a very intellectual audience, which although contain many brilliant points are lost on many because they are difficult to understand. Mashallah, well done! :)

Whoops!  I feel like blushing like a young teenager who has never received a compliment.  If I could blush I would!   :D

Anyway, thanks for the compliment Br. Nadeem.  And welcome to the board!
I look forward to many pleasant discussions with you.
