[slm] I was just wondering if you are repeating an ayah that contains a sajdah to memorise it say 20 times - do you have to do sajdah that many times as well? [wlm] |

[slm] good question I think it is better submitted to islam-qa.com however, as an aside, I am inclined to the each time you say or hear it poin tof view. and didn't the prophet [saw] say that to get closer to him, we should do sujood a lot? |

AA Can't remember the exact words, but there is definatealy a hadith about Umar(RA) in which he once did sujood, and then the next time he didn't. So sujood is optional, but recommended. In your case, since the intention is to learn the Quran, I'd say it wasn't a problem if you skipped it. |
