unbelievable... is that real??? islamic urban chic and hijab being ultra fashionable in england?? and why do they make sami yusuf seem so sinister jeez..

i don't think they can attribute the rising interest in islam to support for 9/11.. no doubt it's reaction to the oppression and tribulations muslims are going through, disenfranchisement of the youth.. undoubtedly a part of it too

but why shouldn't muslims support jihad and fighting against people that oppress them... i think that there is a big difference between supporting jihad and the supporting of killing of innocent people without any rules. that should be made clear..

every muslim believes in jihad it is part of our faith.. but we do not consider what some people do in the name of islam to be jihad...

anyways interesting.. very interesting.. i like that it was done by a muslim youth talking about his own community

I don't think its seen as fashionable but perhaps by some. Maybe he thinks its this new chic style because more ppl are wearing and feel comfortable wearing such clothing like jilbaab, khimaar, kufi etc.
I can remember a few years back where it would be hard to spot someone wearing 'islamic' clothing and now u can tell there are more ppl. 'Islamic' wear is  more readily available (if u live in muslim areas) with different style of khimaar, jilbaabs, abayas, kufi's so mayb it is more fashion then faith (to some)
