| [slm] Well its a graduation present for my brother. :) Thanks for the ideas! He is really hard to shop for. What do you guys think of like a couple of smaller presents a few good books, few good CDs. Ill look into the CD sis Nida mentioned. Any suggestions for something else that maybe personalized I was think of a plaque or something with a quranic inscription. What do yall think? Do you guys know of who might be able to do something like that? [wlm] |

| [slm] how about a clock with his name at the top and qualifications or date of the graduation at the bottom. A few years ago my parents gave us all mirrored wall clocks where our names and the names of our husbands where sandblasted onto it. The 4 main digits were done in the Arabic script. |

| I don't know if this would be the type of gift you'd give for a graduation but my mother once gave me this charm that was tube- like with brass endings. Inside it was a grain of rice suspended in oil that had my name written on it in Arabic. When I saw it I LOVED IT! I thought it was so creative and unique. Unfortunately I can't tell you where you can get something like that here although I did see it at one of the vendors at Tulip Fest (in Albany, NY in case you're not from here). Anyway, the point is is that it's available. ....That last comment was of absolutely no help! LoL :D Emerald |
