| salaam, Anyone have any insight? Why do mothers favor their sons over their daughters? ..so it seems.. Hey I dont have any brothers but even in the most religious of families I've seen this happen...Whats with all the double standards??? peace |

| Ya I've noticed that too! I think it's because moms feel that their sons will take care of them better when they get old more than daughters. Meaning a son could always go and visit his mom, give her money when she needs it, etc. Basically more security. A daughter on the other hand wouldn't have as much control with those things. Why dads favor daughters more than sons is because, maybe, they feel she will be more nurturing when they get old. They'll be more of a emotional caretaker rather than giving them security. And men always love it when they're pampered. Now I don't think this is always the case but it seems the majority feels this way. Emerald |
