| [slm] Ultimately it's a win for the entire African continent, Insha Allah. After having come so close and losing to Germany by one non-vote the last time, the South African bid committee gave it 210% this time round. Alhumdulillah also for the Madiba magic! :-* |

| [slm] Woohoo goooo AFRICA! Thanks Sis Halima :-* We were all geared up to see "Morocco" on that piec of paper, just like "Deutschland" last time;) I was actually in the operating theatre at the time they made the announcement, and all we heard were the nursing sisters outside ululing loudly... :) Yeah, well, sorry about Morocco:( But that just means everyone has an excuse to come and visit meeeee ;D There was a large advert-type thing in Arabic in our main Sunday newspaper wishing our Arab brothers better luck in 2034 (or some weird date like that?). Hijri date? Loool ;D MF, I liked that one!!! 8) Anyway, so you guys are all invited to South Africa!!! :-* Who's gonna come? Salam Shahida :-) |
