sneaky little...

Little cursor where do you go?
Why do you disappear on me?
Do you carry my secrets to some unknown lair?
Where do you go when you vanish on me?

Oh little spy, you think you’re so sly
Sneaking into my room to plant your program on my computer.
You invade, and sneak, you think you are all that
But when I find you on your tush you will fall flat.

One day your legal loop hole will close,
The honor you disdain will be your bane.

Seriously folks, Ive had a break in and a program has been placed on my computer to spy on my every move on the internet, this is why I haven’t been writing much since sometimes whoever is monitoring actually closes my window on me and cancels my messages and so on.  They also lock me in caps so I have trouble logging in.
Will I need to reformat my whole hard drive to get rid of this thing or is there some way I can find it and get rid of it? Should I take my sick computer into a shop or something?
Help me please.

It's very doubtful that it was placed by someone who wants to spy on you personally. Alot of virus/trojan programs get installed by accident when you install other software or while surfing the internet.

It is a good idea to visit your local computer place. They can probably get rid of it.

the kind of problems I have indicate someone here locally scanning my actaul screen, I've been virus checking and not finding anything, and it acts exactly like the kinds of programs that are for sale that business put on their computers tomonitor their employees or parents use to monitor their kids, but this is my own private computer and I didnt authorize any such thing.  and like I tried to say before Ihave no problem during tunderstorms which tells me that my personal bozo is a local. I have also well when I lived int he dorms, I am certain that others entered my room. sothere is on doubt really, but I am wondering if anyone has any experience ofhtese things?
also I run spy ware checks quite a bit and kick a lot of stuff out, but that has no effect on this problem, and a lot of that stuff just comes right back.
But this thing locks my cursor or steals it, puts me in caps lock, and kicks me off my browser.  How can a merchant type organism be profiting from that sort of stuff, seems they would want me n the internet.

Sis, do you have dial-up modem or broadband? If you have dial-up certain unscrupulous companies like CoolWebSearch etc can shut down your internet connection and silently connect to a premium rate number.

If its not this, then it may be that a nasty piece of spyware has infiltrated your system and lodged itself in your registry.  Registry editing is very complicated (to me, anyway) and should not be attempted without professional advice otherwise it can mess up your computer further.

I recommend you go this website:

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/

Its pretty good.  Its like Madina in that its a forum, but unlike Madina its about security issues.  I'd say if you are having problems with your browser, post in the browser hijack section.  They normally reply by the next day.

Good luck! :)

It does sound like a worm virus.  There is one out there and how you get it is that it actually is hacked into your system coming from an open hole, hides until the appointed time and no software will be able to detect it if it's a newly discovered one.

The best thing to do is rebuild your system, not necessarily by a new hard drive, but reimage your machine like reload the operating system....preferrably XP and make sure to download the latest Windows Updates with all the security patches.  then install the latest virus software preferrably...McAfee version 7.1.  It does automatic updates and scans automatically, etc, etc.

Hope tha helps Sister.

Ma-asalaamah....
