| [slm] Invitation to Contribute Assalaamu aleikum Sisters I am working on a book about Muslim women and work, tentatively entitled "Working Muslimahs". My main aim is to show that committed, practising Muslim women can embark upon jobs and careers - both home-based and outside the home - and succeed therein without compromising either their Islamic beliefs and practices or their duties towards their family and home. Another goal is to encourage those Muslim girls and women who wish to work, to go ahead and do so, within Islamic parameters. | Bump! :-) There is still time to respond. I am particularly interested in finding sisters working in the "mainstream" community, and entrepreneurs, and anyone who works with animals... Looking forward to hearing from sisters in sha Allah. |
