Am I pregnant or not?

I am sooooo confused. I have been a little suspicous about being pregnant. I took the
E.P.T test about 4 days before my period and it was negatve. Then I took it a day after my
period was suppose to come, and negative again. Now it has been 5 days since i was suppose
to get it and I tested again and it was negative. I thought they were suppose to be 99%
accurate. If my period is ever late it is usually only 1-2 days late. I had slight
cramping when i was suppose to get it but nothing happened. I talked to my doc and he said to
come in for a test if my period is 2 weeks late. The thing is...I can't wait that long!! I
want to know now. Is there any other way I can tell for sure if I am pregnant or not. The
other signs that I have are sometimes I get a little dizzy and I have been very impatient
and irritated easily. But that could be because I am uneasy about not knowing if i am
pregnant or not. Help!!

My uneducated guess is that after three tries... you aren't.
The tests are highly accurate...unless you are doing it wrong.

You most likely know stress can make you late.
If you are on edge and need to know now they can do a blood test and have in back the next day usually.
But Sr. Kathy is right, unless you are doing it wrong these over the counter test can be pretty accurate.

There is one sure fire method of telling if you are pregnant.................

Wait 9 months and when you dilate to about 8 or 10 cetimeters and the doctor says push then you know for sure.  If you need any more details don't be afriad to ask

Oh Mike!  You are just increasing her stress!  You are mean (joke).

I would attribute it to stress.  It delays the circle and plays havoc with your system.  But I would go for the blood test PRONTO!  I hope you find out soon, whatever it is.

All the best.

Sis, since you said you're getting impatient and irritated easily lately then that's why you're late! Stress is SUCH a factor for a menstrual cycle to get out of whack! Just relax. Pregnancy tests are very accurate. They detect whether or not your hormone HCg levels are high or not. If they're way high, which can show in as little as two days after the deed is done, the color changes. So I'm tellin ya...you aint pregnant! ;)

Salam

I took another ept test today, and it showed one pink line, and another VERY light  pink
line. I read somewhere that in some women the Hcg levels dont start showing on these test
until 2 weeks after u miss your period. Anyways, i did talk to my doc and he said not to
come back until it has been 2 weeks since i have missed. Wish me luck, duas will be
appreciated. I am half happy and half worried about being pregnant. Its not I don't have any
kids. I have 2 kids mashaAllah, but I wasn't planning on having another one, at least not
this soon. I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. Both of my pregnancies didn't go so
well. My first one, everything went well Alhamdulillah except for a kidney infection I had,
but my eighth month i fell down some stairs, and well, through a lot of pain and intense
labor, i delivered 4 hours later. With my second child, I hade 24 hour "morning sickness"
It just wouldnt end, and I started loosing alot of wieght instead of gaining. When the
sickness finally went away, my placenta started bleeding in my fourth month, so I was on
complete bed rest, which was impossible to do with a 3 year old. I delivered a week before
my due date. Around 4-5 hours after I delivered, I hemoraged(sp?) really bad. Almost went
into a coma, lost half the blood in my body. had to stay extra days in the hospital and i
hate staying in hospitals.

So as u can see i am a little nervous, I know Allah knows best, I love children and I
would love another, just make dua I dont have many complications again. jazakAllah all.

wsalam

unless it is your menses making it pink... usually any reaction is a positive test.

Are you in a third world country?... they stopped making the 2 week test ones, a long time ago, to the best of my knowledge.

Assalamualaikum,

Alrighty guys the suspense is over, I AM pregnant. Took another ept and it came out
positive. I called the doc and he said there can be false negatives but there is hardly ever a
false positive result with these tests. Sis Kathy I live in usa and i have been taking
the E.P.T brand pregnancy tests that show 2 pink lines for pregnant and one for not
pregnant. I didn't understand what u meant about 2 week tests? I was just saying some women's
Hcg level aren't high enough to detect on these tests until after it has been 2 weeks that
have missed thier period. Thats what the doc was telling me. He said about %10 women
don't show positive until 2 weeks after expected period. Oh well, wish me luck, JazakAllah
for the support and advice. Please make dua for me. JazakAllah khair everyone.

ur sis
