| [slm] sometimes we plan and Allah plans. we were supposed to leave for the retreat, but 2 days before our car broke down and delayed the trip and now our dad is in the hospital. his blood pressure was 193/105 !!! when it usually is 120/80... now they are doing tests... so please make dua for him inshallah... jazakallah khair |

| [slm] I'm so sorry to hear that...I pray that he recovers soon... Please make sure that he goes for regular BP checks after he's out of the hospital inshaAllaah or take a do-it-yourself BP instrument . It's dangerous to hv those levels shoot up so high. Many duas and wishes...inshaAllaah khair |

There is a doc *hint* *hint* who could check his BP for him. Ok ok, he's not a *real* doctor anymore ( :D ) but he knows who he is ;) Sid.... May Allah make it easy for him inshaAllah. | [slm] May Allah give your father shifaa' , ameen. was that a reaction to a certain medication he took? there are certain food items that are known to increase blood pressure. maybe it would be a good idea to stay away from these. also, there are many simple things that lower the blood pressure. a fish acquarium for instance is very calming. take care wassalam Mona P.S. apologies for replying late, i have not been coming here too much lately. |

He'll have to adjust to "peekha" food. you guys should try persian food. no spices, really, and its pretty healthy. |
