Does the Imam say it?! |

I'm just curious about something. When I start salah, before reading surat al Fatiha I make the du'aa: Subhanaka Allahuma, wa bihamdika, wa tabaraka ismooka, wa ta3ala jaduka, wa la illaha illa ghairuka... ( I hope I didn't mess it up. It's hard saying it out loud and writing it) Anyway, in salatul Jumu3ah, it seems like the imam jumps right into Surat al Fatiha without saying the duaa. I asked my dad and he said that he's sure he says it...but THAT fast??! So is it an optional thing, something that's not usually said in the congregational prayer, or what? Emerald |

[slm]it is not something that nullifies the prayer if you dont say it but we most often dont hear the imam pronouncing that since he says that so silently however the imam says it .and i think what your dad said to you is correct [slm] |

[slm] That is not the ONLY du'a RasoolAllah (saw) is reported to have recited before starting the recitation of Surah Fatihah. There are other shorter and longer du'as reported to have been recited by RasoolAllah (saw). You might wanna check out this link to go through the other du'as Prophet Muhammad (saw) recited: [url]http://www.qss.org/articles/salah/08.html#RTFToC1[/url] Allahu Ta'ala A'lam. Wassalam. |
