| salamalaikum, does anyone have any recommendations for good books to read over the summer? books that are ACTUALLY worth reading? |

| Harry Potter 1-5 8) I think they're fantastic, but I approach them from a more analytical position than most.. It all depends on your preferred genre/which areas you wish to expand your mind. For example, if you're a logical type person, I would recommend Godel, Escher, Bach by Douglas Hofsteader (I've misspelt his name. Oh well). Or you could be looking some light fiction. I know - try some of the books by Amin Maalouf (Balthasar's Odyssey, Samarkand etc) for some good fiction. |

| [wlm] i recently finished reading The Poisonwood Bible..its different from the ones i have read and i liked it. i would recommend it. has anyone read it? |
