| [slm], I don't know about the best one, but I installed google. It works pretty well, except that now some people have come up with some other way of generating pop-ups. But it works most of the time ( http://toolbar.google.com/ ) . Yahoo and MSN also have pop-up blockers as well. For removing spywares, I have tried ad-aware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ ). |

| AA My PC was almost at the point of no return. Then I downloaded SpyBot (free) and Armor2Net (a well worth $30 investment), both available from download.com. They saved my PC. |

| [slm] I just gave up and reformated, I also got off my universities network even though now I am technically paying for two internet providers. It was getting to where I couldnt do squat, and I also had every spyware remover known to technology and I was still getting swamped. Now I seem to have the computer I payed for and not some old run down jelopy with random naked ladies apearing with a strange and mocking regularity. Any way, just make coppies first and wait till you have a few hours if you go my rout. |

| Assalamu Alaikum slowly slowly your computer will start working incorrectly. The best thing to do is a system recovery, because these softwares can't eliminate all the stuff on your comp. even if it eliminate them, later on you realize they are reemerging, sometimes. if you do a system recovery you loose all your data that you saved. so save it before you do any of it. at least you won't have to pay for softwares. to do system recovery, press the F10 just when you computer start, keep pressing, then you will see the system recovery box come up. it should lead you from there automatically. But DON"T press it if you have not saved your data on diskettes, or by sending your files to yourself, in your emails by doing attachments. but make sure to verify you received your documents that you sent to yourself, as your email inbox might be full. salam. |
