| I was giving up my rental while I was on the road but my landlord and his wife are such sweeties I can't. They are like friends and parents to me. Soooooooo, I am traveling 2 weeks to the midwest and then back to see family and go to a family function. Then will can some fruit from the trees and go back out for 6 weeks and head out to see family on the east coast. About that time the pears, apples and prunes will or should be ripe. My yard is full of fruit trees :) For apples I am going to can apple sause, apple butter and just apples for pie or bread (I like making apple/walnut bread) Any other suggestins for apples? Also need pear and prune recipies if anyone has any to share. Uses that I can use canned pear for? |
