| [slm] When I joined the board few years ago, one of my first posts was about the love between my grandmother and my late grandfather. I remember posting it cos sis Barr bugged me about it after listening to my recount of their special bond. Well, that same grandma suffered from a major stroke last Saturday and is now in the state of coma. Doc said half of her lungs are damaged, her brains has deteriorated badly and her heart is in very bad condition. My mother, who has to deal with her own frailties and has a radioactive iodine treatment coming up soon, is naturally devastated by this. Would like to request from brothers and sisters to make du'ah that Allah SWT will Provide us with the best solution and outcome for us with regards to my grandma's condition and also to grant us the strength and fortitude to bear with these seemingly unending tests and challenges. Also, if its not too much, to make du'ah that should Allah SWT decide to take my grandma away from this earth, to take her as a mu'minah, as someone whom He has love for, someone who is deserving of His Jannah. Looking at her frail face, I was suddenly reminded of how lost and helpless she looked at my grandfather's funeral. I see the same look on my mom's face now. Truly, we have still a long way to go before we realise that we each have none we possess...and yet much to lose. Thank you in advance for your kind generosity, Insha Allah. Wassalam |
