| [slm]... This afternoon after work, I spent some time with my mother and daughters and then went to my Uncle's house to pick up my distant cousin who married my first cousin. She's a great girl. We went to go and do some Kwandoflex for about an hour and then we decided not to go for ColdStone ice cream her husband was home and she wanted to cook for him. She dropped me off and then off she went. Came home and spent more time with my girls and Mum. Then Mum's freinds came over for a Qur'an study, they do this every night. So I decided to take my girls out to get gas for the car, but needed to pick up my cell phone at my Uncle's house. Decided to invite her and my cousin out for a late night snack. They agreed. In the car, we talked and laughed about stuff and went to a drive thru. Went to get gas and then had the late night snack at my Uncle's house. We watched TV, laughed, and talked again about stuff. Prayed Eisha and then we split up. My daughters went to spend time with Uncle watching TV in his room because she and I wanted to watch something different. 1/2 an hour later, she gets a call from her sister in Seattle (1 hr away), that their grandma just died. She became speechless and started to cry in the bathroom. Her husband got the car ready and when she came out, I hugged her and said, "Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon. U ok?" She said ok and off she went. Made me take a look at my life with my mother and my girls and thank Allah (SWT) for not taking them away from me just yet. Her grandmother was deteriorating from liver cancer and now her suffering has ended, insha-Allah. Please make du'a for her. Just a regular day became not so regular after all. Right now my oldest girl is giving my youngest girl a ride on her back like a horse. They are having just a great time. Life goes on..... Many du'as and Allah (SWT) bless.... Ma-assalaamah.... |

| [slm] Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon. May Allah swt elevate the sister to the highest rank and may she rest in eternal peace, Ameen. May Allah swt shower His Mercy upon the family and give them sabr in abundance, Ameen. SubhanAllah ya ukthi...it just re-emphasises the fact that we have absolutely no idea, not even an inkling, at what the moment ahead holds for us or our loved ones. May we be grateful servants ya Rabb, Ameen. [wlm] |
