Please visit and post a comment or two. You don't know how difficult it is for one my age to even start this sort of thing. It would encourage me. :) http://timbuktu58.blogspot.com/ I was trying to rename it to "a sane voice in a mad world", but despite putting in the HTML code (I copied it from an instruction post), I do not get the desired result. <a href="http://www.islamonline.net">Islamonline</a> The above worked, but when I substituted, in my blog post, my blogs address and the new title: <a href="http://timbuktu58.blogspot.com">a sane voice in a mad world</a> it doesn't work. any suggestions? |

| [slm] thanks for the visits and the comments. I will try to make it more informative, and presentable. but colourful? how will I go about that? especially considering that at my age and state of health I am unwilling to learn even HTML :) th only way to do so would be to use some colourful blog skin. If I come across one, I will use it, insha'allah. actually I liked this present one from the skins available. It is sober, which describes me. But the layout has many defects, and if I were into software, I would have made many changes. If you have some suggestions, code and skins etc. let me know, but from my post on the guestbook you can see I will ask you to help me implement that as well. :) |

| [slm] you are sweet, li'l sis, but you will learn that age and health do restrict people's abilities to do things. about blogs, it is b-log, from weblog. a log is a record one keeps. There are logs for a car, a machine, ... it would be an electronic diary type of thing, one could keep a daily, a weekly, monthly or infrequent diary. one need not record one's life events in it. one could record one's thoughts, writings etc. On my blog, I intend to keep my writings, thoughts and some information I keep losing when I lose my computer. |
