| [slm] I know of a project which is in it's second year. It's details are as follows: Every year many muslims go abroad to visit their roots. After much reflection upon this fact, a muslimah came up with an idea. Wouldn't it be nice if every uk muslim could complete a sadaqah/zakat project each time they go abroad ? WHat started out as a small idea in someone's mind, materialised into raising fund for the construction of one house for a widow and her four children. This year the project is designed to get the widow's 17 year old daughter married, insha'allah. This project is uk based. No administrative costs are incurred. What I am trying to say in my not so eloquent way: does any uk citizen want to contribute to the project for this year ? Also this whole idea was set in motion by a sister with the help of her father who visits his roots every year alhumdulillah. Anyone interested in contributing let me know and I will forward you some project details. Another Q that I would ask ; How on earth do I check if this project is real and the money goes to the person in need ??? Simple - success of previous project, accompanying photo's and location of the project plus testimonials of the inhabitants of the house. [wlm] Zara Ps. | Keeping in mind that I am a student and not allowed to work ( yes .. my parents are strict O.o) Is there any way in which I can help? |
