| [slm] :-) Hi brothers and sisters. I live in Sacramento, CA, and this message is an appeal to anyone in the surrounding areas, or anywhere really, who can help. There are 3 Albanian children living here who have been orphaned-both their mother and father died. They are living with their stepmother, but she speaks no English and cannot work. They are getting money from Wefare, alhamdulilah, to survive, but there are many things that they need and cannot afford, such as new clothes, school supplies, etc. One of the girls is living with me right now because the relationship between her and her stepmother is very bad. She has decided since living here that she wants to start wearing hijab, but the clothes that she had before are really appropriate for hijab. My husband just graduated and has not found a job yet, and I am a college student, so we can't really afford to get her all she needs (we are spending our extra money on food for her mostly and toiletries). The other two children have similar needs as well. They are being homeschooled (by me), and they still need some things for school, like crayons, paper, art supplies, and practice workbooks.
