Hello, I am not Muslim so I may have a dumb question, but here goes. Is it OK for a Muslim to vote for John Kerry as President of the US since he is Jewish? Just wondering if there was anything about that in your Holy Book. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi and welcome to the site, Actually, John Kerry is a practicing Catholic.  His grandparents were Jewish but they changed their names and converted to Catholicism at the height of anti -semitism in Europe.  His brother married a Jew and converted back. Muslims have a right and a duty to vote for their leaders like any one else.   I don't know of any problem with voting for a jew per se, just a problem with those who blindly support Israel. Peace
