How do you conduct yourself in the mosque?

I have been invited to the mosque, as a guest of the "first family" however I am a Christian woman who has never been to a muslim service. I do so admire the modest apparell of the Muslim women and often find myself yearning to don hijab and abaya. I don't want to disrespect anyone, and these are apparently followers of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Will someone help me, please? :-)

Hi Naturallyme,

That's so nice you're going to visit a mosque. My only suggestion would be to wear  pants/skirt and a long sleeved shirt and maybe bring a shawl or scarf you can use if you go inside the prayer area.

Other than that feel free to ask the sisters there questions and I'm sure you'll do fine :)

I agree. Let the vibes of modesty wash over you and take you to a new vision.

As far as me going to a mosque, I haven't gone near one since Sept 2001.

Some people you just get a "sense" that their intentions and hearts are not good and it's not wise to associate with people like that, no matter what the circumstance.
